CFC Youth for Christ
September 1, 2017, Couples for Christ – Youth in Central Alberta hosted its 3rd Youth Camp with the theme “INCREMENTUM” a Latin word meaning “GROWTH”. With the overall objectives, that the youth can be joyful, responsible and fruitful men and women of God.
Inspired by the Gospel of Matthew 13:32 - “Jesus put before them another parable: Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
CFC Youth for Christ continue to grow since its first seed planted 4 years ago.
A total of 71 Youths registered and attended the youth camp. It was a powerful, spirit-filled weekend that brings our youths into an encounter with Christ.
The youth camp is the beginning of what will, hopefully, be a lifetime commitment and journey with God. It is also an avenue for the youths to form and build friendship with one another. An opportunity for them to share their ideas, talents and experiences to one another in a wholesome environment, where Christian values are talked about and are actively practiced.
Couples for Christ Central Alberta was blessed to have the support of St Augustine School headed by Mr. Kevin Prediger, who, even provided our youths with their matting during their 2-night stay in the gym and assisted us in our needs.
