Rich Honing from Catholic Social Services spoke to our grade 4 Roots of Empathy Classes about the support our school gave to the Gianna Centre in Edmonton. Gianna Centre is a ministry through Catholic Social Services that helps support women and their new babies who are in need. LITE youth group raised $400.00 through the family dance and collected quilts while the grade 4's donated many items for babies and their moms. Rich explained how these gifts/ donations will make a big impact on the these new little! In Roots of Empathy we learned the importance of the baby getting his/her needs met emotionally and physically in order to develop into the person God intended them to be!
