The school held its Remembrance Day ceremonies on Nov. 8 with a strong focus on respect and honour for the soldiers who died in the name of their country.
Grade 2 hosted the Remembrance Day Ceremony for K-6. They were joined by Dorothy Houghton from the Ponoka Legion who helped us understand and appreciate Canada's freedoms.
Students from the St. Augustine Travel Club led the grade 7-12 ceremony. The students shared how their trip to visit war battle grounds and Canadian grave sites in Europe affected them. The ceremony included a video of the Travel Club’s trip to Canadian War Memorial sites.
