St. Augustine Theatre Program - Director’s Note

Unable to perform live theatre on the stage this fall, we have made the jump into the world of Virtual Plays. It has proved to be a remarkably challenging—but rewarding—experience. Our actors, who are used to portraying characters on stage, have been literally limited to acting from a chair on camera. Focusing on voice acting, upper body movements, facial expressions, and camera shots.

I have to say they all have done an astounding job with many hours spent honing their skills! We have produced two productions in two months, “Gossip” and “Once Upon a Zoom”. I could not be prouder of their performances, professionalism, and dedication to our theatre program. To my actors, as always, I would like to thank you for trusting in the process to create some magical memorable moments on our small Virtual Stage.
