Holodomor National Awareness Tour
The Holodomor Mobil Classroom was on site at St. Augustine to teach about the Holodomor, the genocide famine of 1932-1933 where millions of Ukrainians were starved to death.
Grade 9s were presented with the first lesson which is a primer on the Holodomor and the concept of genocide.
Grade 10/11s participated in the second lesson - “Breaking the Sound Barrier: Raising Voices Out of Silence”. This module offers an immersive learning experience through the perspective of courageous individuals who were dedicated in writing truthfully about the Holodomor, countering the disinformation, fake news and cover-up perpetrated by Stalin’s regime.
